Fingers crossed. I'd really like to check this phone out in person.

Re: Omnia II release on Black Friday?

seems to be the same date as when the HTC Passion & Dragon(which may give this phone a run for its money along with the Leo) drops as well. Should be a very good day

im expecting a 199.99 upgrade price as well!

Re: Omnia II release on Black Friday?

im also thinkin if it doesnt come at that time it willl come when the Olympics start since its the official phone of next years Olympics, which would make sense to drop then cause it might bring in more buzz and or sales for verizon. i dont think the O1 was that popular and some like the Olympics would create HUGE buzz

Re: Omnia II release on Black Friday?

HTC Passion & Dragon or the leo, have the ability to destroy the omnia 2, in fact the samsung behold 2 seems to be a better phone as well. this might end up becoming a great x-mas, can't wait to upgrade

Wirelessly posted (Omnia1: Opera/9.5 (Microsoft Windows; Windows CE; Opera Mobi/9.5; U; en) VZW:SCH-i910 PPC 240x400)

Verizon missed the boat. by blackfriday the O2 will be just another new phone due to the Droid being out for a while and the Jones syndrome. some of us will be ready to get one still but as far as mass appeal they missed the opportunity
thanks for the link.I loved the oops the box fell open type stuff and am actually more excited that the choco touch, the next Dare, is coming

Re: Omnia II release on Black Friday?

After reading up on the passion, the O2 isn't as impressive. Sammy/VZ lollygagged way too much on this one IMHO.

Re: Omnia II release on Black Friday?

FYI:

Went to a VZW store on Sunday and got along pretty well with the manger (a female). She wouldn't be too explicit due to her position and knowing Id post up on the intardnet. But she said that they havnt received any brochures on the new phones, BUT she has seen the rebate list for Q4.

I told her how I have become impatient waiting for the O2, and that rumour had it that it would drop around Black Friday. She smiled big and told me that there are 15 new phones dropping between now and Christmas, insuring me that the O2 was one of them.

I pushed her further and I think the Toshiba with the snapdragon is dropping too.

Growing impatient I went in to get a droid, but Im gonna wait and see what new WM fones are dropping first.

Take it for what it is worth.

Re: Omnia II release on Black Friday?

I doubt it. I'm thinking 200-250.
