Power and Lock Buttons

So, you can turn on the screen with these two buttons. Has anyone figured out how to power off the screen with the power button?

Thanks in advance?

You can press and hold the lock button to turn off the screen. I don't believe you can remap the power button - although you could try AE Button Plus if you're not content to use the lock button.

You can turn off the display by just tapping the "lock" button instead of holding it in to actually lock it. However, you have to have the lock "setting" so that it doesn't "Lock when display times out".

Then you will have to actually lock it when you want it locked, as it won't lock after your specified time.

Hope that helps.

BTW, does anyone have an idea to disable or remap Camera button?

Someone just mentioned about a button app in one of my threads. I can't recal, but I am sure you can find it.

AEButton (http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php) is working pretty well for me. Lots of options, but none for Camera button or lock button that I can access. Anybody got a trick for that?

I set up:

Talk Button:
1 press = Normal (Press Green Button)
2 press = Voice Speed dial
3 press = Voice Recognition
Hold = Speakerphone off/on

End/Power
Hang up current call or...
1 press = Press Red button
2 press = Close active app
3 press = Switch Display OFF/On
Hold = Power-OFF your device

OK Button (Actually listed as Button 2):
1 press = OK/Close
2 press = Rotate Screen Clockwise
3 press = Backlight level 65535 (Bright)
Hold = Voice Recorder

Button 1 (Main Menu)
1 press = Call default (normal, calls MS 3.5.3 Home for me)
2 press = Press Page Up
3 press = press Page Down
Hold = Quick Menu or Task Switcher

2 and 3 presses of Volume up and down can work, too.

This is working fine as just the trial version. Some of the advanced features I don't use anyway are disabled. I like the program, and tried to pay, but something between my computer and the website wouldn't work.

Re: Power and Lock Buttons

Is there an option to map a button to the "mute" function??

Along these same lines, is there any option to reconfig the LED? (I've only see one- are there any more?) I'd love to have a hardware mute/unmute button and an LED indication to let me know when I'm muted. Would probably shave 2 minutes off of every meeting I dial into and have to power up the display and hit "unmute" when a question is asked of me..... :)

No Mute/Unmute in AEButton Plus.

How did you setup Voice Speed dial? I don't see that as a program that can be linked in AEBP.
