Will not activate service on moment?
 

I'm trying to help out on of my friend, he purchased a Samsung Moment off of craigslist and once we tried to activate it they told us they could not activate it because it was still under another line

Now i'm not sure if this is because the guy might have claimed insurance or if he never transferred an account over or not.

Basically my question is, can i activate the phone for him any other way or does it have to go through the cell company first?

Do you think if i call them and tell them the situation they will tell us what we need to do?

Or is he just SOL?

unfortunately until you get the original owner to remove it from their account you will never be able to activate it
