New moment loses data connection

I just got a samsung moment today. I have updated it to android 2.1. The data connection will work for an hour at times and then just drop. The EV signal dissapears and I cant use data or texting. The seems to be a common problem. Does anyone know if the custom roms fix this or is there any fix? This is a huge problem and I cant believe sprint hasnt fixed it.

I'm using the Ultimate Dream 3.2 and don't an issue with data at all. I've never used the stock rom so I never experienced that issue. Good luck to you.

Mackie- do you have a custom rom on? Im just wondering if theres any custom roms out there that fix it. wudstock says hes is fine so maybe il try that rom. Ive noticed when I listen to sirius internet radio it cuts out like every 30 seconds and says data connection lost then comes back. Then after awhile i loose connection completly untill I restart.

Seems we have the same problem. Its like the more data intensive the app or website, the more it happens. This is odd though I have an "unlimited " data plan... you know thinking about it its not 2004 anymore. And there are other choices! Perhaps Sprint needs a wake-up call.

after reading wudstock's comment, I installed ultimate dream 5.0. I had more problems with the internet on this rom. That said, I was able to find ultimate dream 3.2. I installed this, and what do you know, the internet works great. I've had it on for two days and have not had one instance of my internet cutting out. Also, it does not switch as often to 1x as it used to. The rom is actually really good as well!

Glad it is working for you. It's been very stable and fast with no data problems for me.

You should try Interceptor V6 rom!!!! Its one bad mutha!!!!!!!!
