did you try searching "contact widget" in Market?
There's an app called contact widget, you might be looking for this one

Works great. I downloaded the one by Ricardo. I would recommend for any android device. IMO it is a little faster than the stock HTC one.

Re: contacts widget

MeContacts is good if you want an app...Arti's Contact Widget is good if you want widget on one of your home screens. It will actually let you pick the default (sms, call, email) unlike MeContacts. I like it much better as most contacts I txt, but a few business ones I always call. This way I can do either...it also has the other options on the contact too!

Re: contacts widget

Is there a contact widget that lets you have a long window with all your contacts faces ( or blank pics with a name ) that you can swipe/scroll through?

MeContacts is a widget tht allows u to press the faces of ur contacts and dial it..I found it to be really cool..when u first open widget pick call contact instead of display contact if u just want to press the faces to dial
