Just got one!!!!!!

So I debated for about a month between the Moment and Hero. And went with the Moment yesterday! Freaking love it. And glad to be part of the Android group! So I've been browsing around looking for tips, tricks, fixes and apps. Just curious if anyone wants to share any info. Or favorite apps. Been downloading a bunch and having fun for sure. Ohh and a quick question, whats the best battery indicator? I'd like it to say the percent up there too. Other than that. Thanks guys!

Re: Just got one!!!!!!

First you'll need this to to read these bar codes
Barcode Scanner v3.1 by ZXing Team, find that using the Android Market on your phone
that's the one I personally like the best.

After you install that you can then scan these bar codes to download these apps

Quote:
Movies:
Movies by Flixster is rated the top movie app for a reason… and now it’s on Android! The app brings a wealth of movie buff convenience to you. The Box Office shows the latest movie coming out and top box office flicks. You can automatically get Theaters near your location or change to another location. Not only can you get current movies but future Upcoming and those that are available on DVD recently. Movies by Flixster features reviews by movie critics and reviews by Flixster users. Gripe Alert: it would be cool to submit a Flixster user review via the app, but you are required to join, login, and submit a review via their website.

You’re provided with a lot of information about movies with links to Rotten Tomatoes reviews and the IMDB for more. Best of all, movie showtimes are presented by your location/theater. Lastly, you can watch trailers in High Quality on your phone.

Bump:
Yeah that's right, this application has gone cross-platform, share your contact information with other Android users and even iPhones!
Quote:
ShopSavvy:
The original barcode scanner on Android. Aim the camera at any barcode, wait for the beep and ShopSavvy will provide you with a list of online and local prices.
Oddly this looks like the CNET Shop and Scan, 'cept it's not as "pretty" makes you wonder who took it from who

Re: Just got one!!!!!!

If you want real android info then PPCGeeks is not where you need to be. Go to www.androidforums.com , www.droidforums.net , www.androidcommunity.com , and also check out www.androlib.com for all the apps that are on the market. Also xda-developers has a good android based community.

Those are all great sites, and there are a few other ones that you did not list, but why send a member somewhere else? Instead, let's build up our Android community here and share what we have learned, even if it is from a different site.

That's true but come on, look at this android community on here. No one on this forum knows anything about android. Send them to a site that been up so they can learn and bring it back. This site is geared towards WinMo not android. Why keep a member at a forum where he has to wait days for his question to be answered? Why hold back knowledge? If you know a site that can help someone why keep it to yourself and not share it.
