Any 2.1 software News?
 

Just got this new toy to replace my HTC TOUCH. Not the Touch pro just the touch. I dont change phones very often.

So i was excited about the upgrade this week which turned out to be just a minor maint release which fixes things I barely noticed.

So when is the major 2.1 upgrade coming? what will it add? How does it look.

I just got my secong moment yesterday cause gps never worked on first even after the cl14 update. Now it works great and love my phone even more, but the tech there
(and this is just gossip) said april was the earliest we would see 2.1. which hopefully is just him not knowing anything. but if you want to get an idea of what will be updated or changed here is the link for the notes http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-2.1.html

From a rep over at the Sprint Forum:

“A while back we announced our plans to update our Android devices to 2.1 in the first half of 2010. I just wanted to follow up with a quick status. The 2.1 update is currently being tested and things are going very well so far. We’re still targeting the first half of 2010 and if things continue to go smoothly we should have the update well within that time frame. I’m sure there will be a lot of questions about procedures and more exact time-frames but for now I won’t be able to say much more. I just wanted you all to know that things are still on track,”

WhenI took my phone in for an update, I asked the Sprint Rep. You can never really trust what they say but he was saying around the April time frame. He said that's what he heard through an unofficial grapevine. So take it for what it's worth.

ok i just got my wife a moment and i dont know how to transfer her contacts for her pre over to her moment, help please... oh and she cant get her yahoo mail set up on it

To set up your yahoo mail a simple google search would tell you! But since I am typing this here you go:


type your email address and password.
instead of hitting next hit manual set up.
IMAP server= imap.mail.yahoo.com
hit next.
then at the smtp put this in "smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com".
thats it works like a charm.
