ESN Changes on Samsung Phones...

I know changing the ESN is fairly simple on the 6700 as well as a few lower end phones, even some from Samsung but then again on the Moto Q it's not been done yet.

I am on a carrier that will never get the new i760 coming out on Verizon but if I can buy one and change it's ESN to match my active 6700 then all should be well with a little PRL finesse...

Anyone know how likely it is that I'll be able to edit the .sys file that writes the ESN on the new Samsung PPC?

Should be fairly simple with the right tools. You might even be able to do it with BitPim.

Send a message via ICQ to Ahe
I got the same problem, tried BITPIM QPST and any other tools I can find, no one works. Perhaps repair esn of IP830 is a difficult thing. I noticed that, the NVM folder in EFS system is locked.

This is the main Reason that I hate CDMA / EVDO

Every thing is Locked if u want to change the Operator you will have to Sell old one and buy another one. which is a Pure Waste of time and Money

Hope these CDMA Manufacturer / Qualcomm Imposes RUIM Technology on Mass Level

The Locked Handset Fever is Becuase of All American Operator

in Europe Handsets are Commodity you Buy it and Insert the SIM to use Service.

Only Reason why I HATE CDMA
