I had the "phone fatal" thing to occur twice this weekend; when it happens, you can't use the phone at all if you try to make a call.

Ok...........called Samsung Technical Support this morning, was directed to Level 3. The person said it's poorly written software on the part of a 3rd party application that's been installed on the phone. His recommendation is to uninstall all 3rd party software and then see if the message re-appears. Has anybody tried this yet?

it must be the phone, because my wifes phone has NO 3rd patty programs installed, the phone still default from manufacturer and she gets the fatal error as well, so i would say that they known less than we do about the problem. Honestly i am considering Cingular and get the 8525 PDA, i know that i will have to pay more for the service but i just can't take it anymore.

I deleted the phone/dial skin and so far no issues, but I'm sure it will happen again. The first IP830W I purchased, I put a different phone skin on it immediately.......did the same with the replacement.

my only problem now about switching to a diferent carrier is do to the fact that my contract is only up by August and i have 4 lines so they will charge me like $150.00 penalty fee 4 each line, i gess i have no choice but deal with the Fatal Error until August, really its a shame because i love this phone.
