Re: Pop Up Blocker on the Intrepid

Re: Pop Up Blocker on the Intrepid

If your issue really is a popup blocker, try another browser like Opera (which allows the popup blocker to be turned off in settings). IE does not allow popup blocking to be specifically enabled or disabled AFAIK.

Also keep in mind that a whole lot of sites just don't work on mobile browsers. You might not be encountering a popup blocker at all - maybe just a site that doesn't place nice with Mobile Internet explorer, which is operating on very old technology at this point.

Re: Pop Up Blocker on the Intrepid

Thanks Haus ...

I had the htc touch pro before this and the sites worked fine this is driving me nuts
the only reason i need this phone is to watch live streaming videos ,i own harness horses and its a great way for me to watch them race when im on the road .

I race horses at the Meadows in Pa. and here is there web site http://meadowsgaming.com/racetrack/ when i click on the live streaming video it works perfect . But the track i really need to see the live video from is The Meadowlands,Nj http://www.thebigm.com/ when i click on the live video link i keep getting the this link is broken

I talked to the Roberts Communications people that serve both places with the feed and they said it had it be a pop up blocker or firewall blocking it .

As for Opera 10 i went into the settings and the only options were
Pop ups -on and
Pop ups -only clicked
not really sure what the only clicked means but i tried it and it still didnt work ....

Haus if you can figure this out i'll send you a case of beer !!

Re: Pop Up Blocker on the Intrepid

You'll have to experiment with the opera builds over on XDA-Developers (some may be referenced here). Many of the builds released for the touch pro (VGA) were also ported to QVGA.
