Intrepid browser support Java or ActiveX?

I have a IP camera set up at home and would like to access it via my phone. The camera requires Java or ActiveX enabled web browsers, does the Intrepids browser support either of these?

I noticed ActiveX in the browser's menu, but when browsing to my camera it never asks to install the plug-in for the camera (as happens on a regular computer). What gives?

If it's a Panasonic camera there is a mobile version of the page that gives a static image. Other cams might have a similar function. It's not great, but most of those IP cams web pages are probably designed for 800x600 minimum; you're probably going to end up really frustrated with it at 320x240.

As for ActiveX, my guess is that those plugins aren't supported at all by the mobile platform. I don't think ActiveX controls work on a Mac, either? Just IE for PC? Or am I wrong about that, not sure.

What's funny is I could view it on my Palm Centro in java mode. Does the Intrepid's browser support java?

Don't think so...anyone else know? Sprint has the titan program to run java programs (like Opera Mini I think), but I don't think it enables java applets in the browser. I hate everything to do with Java so I avoid it like the plague. :)

You could do what I did, install ZoneMinder on a server at home and then use ZM4PPC to view the live feed from your cams.

But that's a discussion for another day. Try looking outside the intrepid forum; this would be a general WM6.1 or WM6.5 question and you might have more success with a broader audience.
