Re: Windows 7 x64 driver for Intrepid

i dont personally have a 64 bit machine but this was posted in the TP2 forums

For windows 7/ 64bit and windows mobile device center issues

1) make sure you have admin access...

2) Go Start menu

3) Type "Services.msc" and hit enter

4) There are 2 services that begin with "Windows Mobile" right click them and restart them, one at a time.

5) Usually, the 1st one, "Windows Mobile-2003-basked device connectivity" has to be killed from the task manager.

Re: Windows 7 x64 driver for Intrepid

Windows 7 was the easiest to set up for Activesync that I have ever used, it is kind of funny how different things seam to disfunction with this device.

Windows firewall would block a windows mobile center from updating a driver?

I did this and there was an error communicating with the device.

Re: Windows 7 x64 driver for Intrepid

Then it’s your computer and/or other drivers. I find, after doing a total system restore, little items like you have will resolve itself. I am currently running an ASUS P5QC motherboard with Windows 7 x64 since day one it was released on Microsoft TechNet with every windows mobile phone I owned. (7 phones actually and yes, I am/was a Microsoft programmer but Apple's platform is catching my eye, if only it had a physical keyboard)
