Re: The new bing with turn by turn directions and intrepid

Ok mine seams to save favorites, I added a favorite, even did a soft reset and it is sill there.

Not really sure what you mean by did I edit bing.config, if you are asking if I did the work on that cab, the answer is no! If you mean did I do any editing of that cab on my device the answer is still no, I used the regular cab, and did the edit you copied into your first post.

So what other advantadges are there with the update? Can you list what it has done to help the Intrepid work better/be more stable?

Weird, it saves favorites for me but only temporarily, are you using it on storage card or on phone itself? My main issue is it doesn't see my contacts.

Look at my other thread posts about changes from firmware update.

Re: The new bing with turn by turn directions and intrepid

Ok so it just doesn't lock up as much, mine doesn't really lock up on me, very seldom do I have to do a soft reset, some times it will run a little slow, or wont connect to the net then I do a soft reset but it is like some times a week before I have to reset.

It is weird that Bing will not see your contacts, or save favorites, mine will see contacts, and will do navigation to them, and like I said it seams to save favorites, but it has only been a day, and one soft reset since I tried to add favorites, so time will tell I guess.
I have it loaded on my card, along with live search, now that I am getting used to useing Bing I may get rid of live search, they do do different things though.

It doesn't lock up as much and has other advantages, bug fixes, new menus/navigation.

My bing favorites will save, but seem to blank later. My main issue is that it says none of my contacts have addresses, and if i go to a contact outside of all of this, i can click look up in google maps, but not look up in bing.

Re: The new bing with turn by turn directions and intrepid

Can you tell me what is new with the menues, and navigation?

Ok when I open a contact it says locate in Google maps, I also have Garmin on my Intrepid, it asks if I want to route to it with that as well, but it does not give me that option with either Bing, or Live search, but I don't think any of my other WM devices listed Bing, or Live search as an option in contacts either.
