Trying to find post on where to put new ringers

I've seen it somewhere. I've downloaded new ringers but they need to go in a special place using a registry editor I believe. I can get the ring tones into the SMS, email, alarm, etc settings but they do not show up as available for a ringer. Please help with info or a link. Thanks!

I figured it out the downloaded ringers just go into the "ringers" folder located in the "windows folder". I thought I read somewhere that it was a registry change.
