well I received a voicemail yesterday and when I deleted it the icon never disappeared...I just want it off

Odd, I've not had this happen on this phone, but have on old flip phones with Sprint. Have you had another and deleted it since. Looks like the phone's not getting the update from the VM. Are you talking about the icon in the start bar or on the today screen? Try updating the PRL (link in the system settings).

It's both but the one I am concerned about is the one on the start bar. I hate that thing lol...but what I ended up doing cause it was driving me insane lol... I just left myself another voicemail and went through the process of deleting and then it finally went away. But i will try to update the PRL next time it happens.

FYI...updating the PRL doesn't work. Seems like leaving yourself another voicemail and then going in and deleting is the only thing that can be done right now.

Most of the Win Mobile phones (HTC 6700, Treo 700wx, Treo Pro) that I have used always had a "clear voicemail icon" function in the phone settings. It was usually listed under services when you got into the phone settings.

It is not there on this phone which is an incredible oversight considering it was there in several previous versions of Windows Mobile.

Maybe somebody else has found this function somewhere else in the settings but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

That's the button that I was looking for. It was on my Treo and my Mogul...but unfortunately not this one...not cool ](*,)
