Date format is day/month/year, want month/day/year

I'm having a problem of where date is displayed as day/month/year instead of month/day/year.

I go to region and have english/america but i can only leave calendar on gregorian but i cant change anything for the short/long format sections, and they are both blank.

what do i do?

When you say "I go to region" is that the same as Start-Settings-system-regional settings, date tab? I'm able to select Short date, separator, and long date. Calendar type is Gregorian and greyed out.

Given that plus your weird camera center button issue...I'm wondering if a reset is in your future. :)

On mine:

Short date: M/d/yy

Long date: dddd, MMMM dd, yyyy*

(*yyyy is cut off by the size of the field, but I assume it's yyyy and not yy)

Some weird issues going on with your phone, sounds like...did you install or remove anything recently?

The region may be due to the arabic support software I installed, not sure.

Do you know where in the registry that would be located, the m/d/yy?

off the top, it's under NLS overrides (use search in reg edit)

fyi, non-'standard' formats can sometimes cause issues with app databases, but I think most all those kinks have been addressed and to my knowledge it's not an issue, but wanted to give an fyi.

shaggy, i think the problem was with the arabic software i had installed. it seems to be resolved now.

my only outstanding problem is that the middle button rarely if ever works in camera mode, but works in everything else. do you know where this is in registry? im having to toy with the camera button itself in camera mode to take a pic.

yea, I'd have to dig through some files (i'm currently moving) to find, but I always tweak the settings for that. it's actually the settings for the thresholds on the touch sensing wheel around that button.

hopefully i'll get around to looking for that later tonight. :P
