intrepid vs touch pro 2

I currently use a sprint mogul & have been waiting for the touch pro 2 to come down in price when I noticed the intrepid. I need a Windows mobile device. It seems like the intrepid has all the important things I need and is just packaged differently than the tp2. I can live without a tilting screen and conference room quality speakerphone if it means I save $200. Am I missing any other major differences between the two phones? Has anyone compared them both?

Thanks.

Re: intrepid vs touch pro 2

I had a TP2. Here's what it came down to for me, do I need a device or do I need a phone? TP2 one handed use is not so kind, intrepid is great. Screen quality was my biggest issue but honestly I havn't even noticed it. Samsungs sms/mms programs do suck on the intrepid though. And HTC software is kinda cool. The Intrepid is so light though, barely even feel it in your pocket, TP2 is a monster

Re: intrepid vs touch pro 2

Yeah I had to decide between these to phones as well, given that these are about the only two newer smartphones left out there I can still upgrade to without loosing my $12/mo plan (after discounts). lol

Re: intrepid vs touch pro 2

I had an Intrepid, but I just couldn't live without quick fixes and the ability to really customize and choose roms. The Intrepid just had some annoying bugs and some things stopped working (bluetooth, wifi internet sharing, etc) after a few hours.

I got the TP2 for 340 on ebay, and I save my upgrade in case a newer HD2-era handset comes in the next year or so.
