Power Button sometimes doesn't work

Does this happen to anyone else? Sometimes I'll push the power button and the screen won't come on. Also, sometimes when I push it, the screen won't go off. Is this common or possibly a hardware malfunction?

ya, i have been through 2 intrepids and both had the power button response issue at times, happens rarely but ya its annoying

I've never had it happen to turn off, but it does happen to turn on. I'll push it and nothing, push it again, then it turns on and immediately back off. Pretty annoying, but doesn't happen enough for me to bitch at Sprint.

Yea I've noticed sometimes when I push it to wake it up I have to hit it 2 or 3 times to get it to come on...never had any problems with it not turning off though.
