After installing arabic input software, can't boot phone!

I've tried two arabic input softwares, sunnysoft's and lEng, and BOTH make my intrepid no longer boot and force me to do a hard reset.

what to do?

Are you asking how to install arabic input software, or how to hard reset the phone?

I'm saying it stays on the orange screen and never finishes booting, so you have no choice but to hard reset.

I understood that from your first message. I've had different software do the same thing on my Intrepid. But you posed the question "what to do?" in your message, so I thought perhaps you were asking how to perform the hard reset when it is not possible to boot the phone (the answer is to hold the center button while resetting the phone).

Otherwise, I'd say "what to do" is not install those input programs and thank you for letting the forum know so that others can avoid having to hard reset. :)

Well, surely there's some way to use these programs on the intrepid. They work on other ppc phones, apparently.

You might be running into one of a few potential issues. First, the Intrepid is WM6.5...unlikely to cause problems (over WM6.1) but you never know. Second, the phone has a hardware keyboard that is always available (as opposed to Touch Pro/TP2 with slider keyboard), which I suspect might be causing issues considering you're installing input drivers. Third...well, it's the Intrepid and there are some quirky things about this phone as we all know.

I assume you tried installing one or both of those programs after a fresh hard reset (since you had to do it anyway) just to be sure there wasn't a conflict with something else you had installed before. Otherwise, maybe write the developers and ask them if they support 6.5 and specifically the Intrepid.
