The Return

Hey guys

I was talking to a verizon rep a couple of days ago and asked why the i760 was suddenly pulled. He stated that there was a software glitch in every phone and verizon felt it was easier to pull the phone and fix them all in one shot then work on them on by one at the stores. The rep also said that verizon will be re releasing the phone with new features and updates. No date yet on when this will happen.

Hope that helps

does this relate to all the phones?
is there a cutoff of date/serial that are supposed to be okay?

Re: The Return

This was related to a change in how the handsets were identified to the network and the fact that some network components would not work with certain newer handsets. They moved from the older EIN system to a newer MEID system to accommodate more handset and supposedly their Nortel network components at some sights couldn't handle the change.
