Upgrade to 6.1
 

Hey there gang,
Has anyone seen or have info on an upgrade to mobile 6.1 for the Samsung i760, Verizon?

I just spoke to a high level tech friend of mine at verizon today. He hasn't heard anything about realse or update times from verizon yet. He is going to let me know as soon as he hears anything.

I don't think Verizon has ever released a ROM update for any of their phones. If we want 6.1 we'll probably have to figure out how to do it ourselves.... Which isn't very likely.

Back in April I sent an e-mail to them asking about WM6.1. Here's the response I received:

Thank you for contacting Verizon Wireless through our website. Verizon Wireless does not currently have devices that support Windows Mobile 6.1, but we are working with our device manufacturer partners to make Windows Mobile 6.1 available. Unfortunately we do not have any estimated time of when or if the software will be available.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to assist you today. We appreciate your business and thank you for using Verizon Wireless. Should you have additional questions or concerns, please reply to this e-mail.
