Facebook Sync Experiencing Problems Error
 

I have the At&t Captivate, but it looks like this is an issue that could stretch across all Galaxy S phones. A quick Google search will bring up quite a few posts/threads on Samsung's Facebook page about it too.

I use the built-in SNS sync for Facebook, which is what Samsung uses under the default Android Account settings.

I've flashed a few ROMs, and at some point, my Facebook wouldn't sync my contacts anymore. I get the message "sync is currently experiencing problems. try again later".

The things I've tried:
-Flash back to stock & other ROMs
-Clear all cache data in CWM
-Delete SNS Account data under Application Settings
-Delete Samsung Mobile from my applications on Facebook
-Changing my Facebook password
-Tried logging in with someone else's Facebook account, same error with their's

The Android Facebook app loads up fine, but with Samsung, it doesn't sync contacts, it forces you to use SNS for that.

Any other suggestions?

I have a similar issue in my "Contacts". When I try to edit any contact that is sync'd with Facebook I get a pop up that says "Unable to edit SNS contacts on phone". It only happens with contacts that are sync's with Facebook so I think these two issues are related. It has continued across three different versions of the midNIGHT ROM, the most recent of which was built on an entirely new base. I have been meaning to post something about it in the midNIGHT ROM thread, but after seeing this I wonder if it isn't a Facebook issue.

I've always had that message but I can still edit my email contacts. I think that's just telling you that you can't edit the Facebook part of the contact, but if its synced with Exchange or GMail, you can just hit OK and edit the rest of it and it'll save it and sync it back up.

I think facebook did some change and SNS is not updated to the change...might ave to pull latest version off a recent leak/official that "hopefully" has it fixed :/...

I hear Vibrant just got Froyo so that might be a place to pull it from :/
