Change battery icon to one with %

Like the title states, any way to make this possible?

I am using a battery widget:

It doesn't change the battery icon at the top but it gives me what I need.

siptang, look through the market for battery widgets, or battery monitors. It seems as if I saw one last night that did what you're suggesting but I can't remember the name of it.

I've been chasing down battery life problems so I've remove alot of apps that may be querying for stuff like battery percentage, etc. and thus can't remember which app it is.
I know this isn't much help, but I know I've seen it.

Also, FWIW, you can use appbrain.com on your pc to browse the market for stuff, then use their app to sync/send it to your phone.

i use BATTERY INDICATOR PRO.... i just started a few days ago and it seems to work great....they place an icon on the top left with a percentage...

Check out Battery Status Pro in the Market...it has the status bar % and much more. Even shows you info in your pull down menu.
