Got my Epic but eh
 

Well here is my issue. I have been using an Aria(my work phone) for about a month. I really like how things are put together on the Aria. The pinch and you can choose what windows to go to, The home page digital clock and weather(esp how the weather changes from town to town and you don't have to reset it.) The epic doesn't have any of these features. I was hoping it was an Android thing but I think it is an HTC thing. I may send my epic back for an evo. Can anyone tell me if the evo has these same functions or if I can put them on the epic. I love the Epics screen and I have been a hardware keyboard junky for years but I don't like the style of Samsung's version of Android. Disappointed so far.

yes the evo has those htc features, it comes with the sense UI... and yes you can get those peatures on the epic, by downloadin another launcher besides touch wiz... i here one of the best that comes close to sense ui would be launcher pro... a simple google search will help u find it. As far as pinch? Pinch to zoom is a standard android feature i believe... but yes the epic can do pinch to zoom also... it works on mine.....

I have an evo and I use launcher pro. It has the pinch yo window preview you desire and coupled with beautiful Widgets you can get the weather options you want as well.

Thank you. As far as pinch to zoom I found that and it does that very well. What I am talking about is home menu navigation. When you pinch on the home screen it shrinks down all the menus and you can choose which one you want. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Its about $1.90 but worth every penny.

You can't use the HTC Widgets on the epic. Beautiful Widgets has a nice clock/weather widget set up. You can also search Google for fancy widget. It looks like the HTC flip clock. The developer received a c&d from HTC because of the resemblance but you can find the apk online.

I found Weather and toggle widget for $1.99. I am sorry I am so tired right now and all I really need to do is search instead of asking.

I had to mature the device a bit as well.. as it was just too.. teen-like for me..

Beautiful widget as said, and fancy widget, are both very good.


I love android.. former DIEHARD Winmo guy.. still have a pda lol
