MicroUSB... and so it begins...

I own probably 300 miniUSB cables, one cable for an olympus camera, and exactly one microUSB cable that came with my epic 4G. I left home at 8am, leaving the one and only microUSB cable plugged into my wall an hour away from me. And I'm not going to be home til 2-3am. I guess I know what I'm doing for lunch. Why can't everyone just use the same cables?

Well from now on you will only see the MicroUSB type connections. The World cellphone congress or whoever they are have basically stated that any phone (that's not an iphone) will use MicroUSB for it's charging port....so you'll probably catch up to your 300 mini USb's before you leave this earth, LOL.

I ordered a ton of the convertors off ebay for $0.99 ea free shipping. They have to come from China though, so they did take a lil over 2 weeks to get here.

Look out for the old blackberry phone model car and wall chargers on the cheap. They always clearance them out when the models are phased out. They work perfectly with the epic. Seen them at TJMAXX and Marshalls.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MicroUS...cro_connectors

As of January 30, 2009 Micro-USB has been accepted by almost all cell phone manufacturers as the standard charging port (including Apple, HTC, Motorola, Nokia, LG, Hewlett-Packard, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Research In Motion) in the EU and most of the world.
