Three Questions
 

I just got this thing today and I love it. I have Three questions:

Is 3g Tethering mode free? If it is, I understand 4g hotspot is not but isn't there a way to do it sleuthely?

Second, I have to force roam everytime I go to school because the Sprint connection is garbage, yet I don't see a way to do it. A widget would be great but if not, just instructions would work.

Lastly, is there any way to make the screen stay on while charging, or at least make it like 30 minutes? Thanks!

Force roaming is not an option yet for Android so unfortunately you cannot download any app to do that. As far as the screen is concerned if you go into settings and then sound & Display and scroll down you will see an option for "screen timeout"...you can alter the time for 30 second to 30 minutes.
You must have "root" access to acquire free tethering whether it's 3G or 4G...hope this helps.

you can tether "unrooted" for a one time 10bucks if you buy EasyTether.. but no free way unless rooted is my understanding... Go WinMO! lol

So, I should root this thing then?

Two more questions, is there an audio booster app or something that will let me tweak audio output? As of now it stinks.

Second, is there a good battery percentage widget? I got one but it's reading my battery at half level, and it maxes at 50%.

I've been using CurveFish BatteryLife 1.3.3. Seems to work alright.

That's weird, I just tried that one and it's showing at 44% while my top bar is nearly full. That's strange.

OK so I got this for my son and I want to be sure to tell him what he can and can't use on it.... in the apps section is "Sprint Hotspot" am I understanding that this is a "cost" per use/month app until root or using previously mentioned program?

Yeah the top bar isn't very accurate. It seems to drop to half when the phone is actually at 30%. It's why I had to find a more accurate battery app in the first place.

Right now I'm at 78%, but the top battery icon still shows full...

The same problem with the samsung moment and never fixed. Is a samsung!
