I loaded the SDK yesterday and wrote a simple clock app. I have about 5 or 6 different apps I want to write. BTW: the SDK for android is java. I've been programing java since my first part-time summer computer job in 1996 so this is my thing! One of the main reasons I switched to android.

sdx developers is mainly centered on samsung development, you may find more resources there.
