1 Million Galaxy S Phones shipped in the US so far
 

Not to bad considering its only been out on 2 carriers for a bit over a month....my guess with the Epic and Fascinate out the door we may see 3-4 million in a month from now in the US alone :/

How does that compare to the iPhone 4? I'd love to see someone knock the iPhone fanboys off their high horses.

The iPhone 4 is a bit harder to beat...mostly due to it AT&T allowing people to upgrade 6 month in advanced...that said phone 4 only sold 1.7 million in the US...

Considering that Samsung does not have a premium brand here...thats pretty darn good..Globally though Galaxy S is outselling iphone 4

I bet that by the end of the year we are going to be looking at a real winner here for Samsung and Sprint. And if you want to count all the Galaxy S phones, once Verizon gets the Fascinate out there it should definitely eclipse the iPhone. What is the timeline for the Galaxy S2 line?

Their goal is to compete directly with the iphone..so its probably going to be once a year..so expect he Galaxy S2 to be out sometime may/june 2011

That will work out perfectly. Sprint Premier customers get to upgrade their phones every year, so right about the time my upgrade eligibility is restored the SGS2 will be coming out.

If you check Samsung's press release, found on www.androidguys.com you will read that Samsung SHIPPED 1 million Galaxy S phones. There is no mention of units sold. Android central is reporting the story correctly also.

I got it from another place which said sold and sourced Android Central but did not fully read the Android Central article my bad...They sold 1 million of them in south korea though *whistle*

I have corrected the thread title...

I wonder though if the Epic and Fascinate shipments are already included in that 1 million or not :/

I bet it's 1 million of all 4 devices. Perhaps Samsung is being cautious and waiting to see what this shipment does.
