New MD4 update from Sprint

I just got the ota update and all seems to be working fairly well for me!
Battery life seems better.
Multi window is cool but not sure I will actually use it.
Paper artist is fun.
Etc

Anyone else get this update or am I the only one left with an unrooted phone... lol

Are you rooted? Do you know if this prevents root? I'm still on very 1st software version. Never took an update.

And I'm sick of the reminder of new software update available popping up every 10 mins lol. Just been afraid of taking the update because I want to root soon.

I'm NOT rooted. Never saw a reason for me to do that. If you do a little research on google I'm sure you can find out if root will stay or how to re-root if it doesn't. BTW, the update will not install of you are rooted anyways.

If you had followed the info on this phone over at XDA, you would realize that it has always been rootable with every update. The nice thing about Samsuung is that even IF you loose root with an update, you can just re-root. Samsung does not take an active interest in locking out the power user the way HTC does.

You can find tons of info over at XDA. Most of what you read here is just echoed from there.
