My files app for Note 3
I ues the file explorer called My files on my GS3 and a few other samsung devices.

I cannot find this app on my Note 3 except to go into the google search bar, type it in and then once it searches phone and apps, I have access to it.

Is there a setting or something I'm missing to simply have this in my apps drawer?

Hmmm. Maybe it is hidden in the app drawer. Go in to the drawer, hit the menu button and see if you can unhide it.
