PPC6700 cannont wifi and phone at same time`
 

i can not get my ppc6700 to allow for wifi and phone to be on at the same time. i dont know if i did a registry edit or what but it wont work anyone got any advice and yes i have the latest rom and i have tried ppchacks both ways with wifi phone/on and wifi phone/off. when i click phone wifi goes off. and when i click wifi the phone turns off....

when u say u click on phone, then wifi. where are you clicking on them? comm manager, on the start bar? Can u explain alittle more. Have you had the problem before? When did you notice it?

im doing it from comm manager. its like ok when i click the icon for the phone it turns off the wifi. and if i have the wifi is on and i click on the phone icon to turn it back on the wifi turns off. from what i understood the 6700 could do these two at the same time. is there a way or a chance i could have gotten the rom update for the vx6700 or is that even possible?????

nall if u updated with the verzion rom, u wouldn't be able to use the phone at all and it would be verzion branded. you can use wifi and the phone at the same time, sh*t I just done it. I would suggest turning on the wifi letting it connect, load a page. Press the green phone button and make a call. I know it sounds dumb, but try it. While ur on the phone, try and browse the net. You don't have to mess with the xomm manager. Just turn on wifi and give it a shot. Let me know what happens.

nope doesnt work when go to make a call it says phone off.do u want to turn the phone on... when u click yes it shuts off wifi.guess imma do a hard reset reload the rom and go from there.mabey something happened when i updated the rom everything else works fine.or mabey ppchacks messed something up.

if you loaded the new rom right the first time, then theres no need in doing it again. just hard reset, this should always solve any major problems. when you refer to ppchacks, what are you referring too?

the program you have listed in the downloads section I'm not sure what the problem is.ill do a hard reset tonight when I get home.and can u send me the secret info on novii remote hehe

ok then. :lol: yea if you have the problem after the hard reset, then let me know. its about time for me to do a hard reset, as I have been doing a lot of testing. I suggest using a exchange server to sync contacts, tasks, appointments, and such. and also store .cabs on a miniSD card, so that if need be you can hard rese on the go, and reinstall everything. It can come in handy.

have you figured out why when you try to download a file directly yo the ppc from the downloads section it downloads as download.php

I knew this ? was gonna arise soon, I just noticed it the other day. I got the code right to make it download correctly in the posts. But didn't realize it didn't fix the downloads area, I will have a look at the code and see if I can't figure that out. its the real file, correct size and everything just the wrong extension. you can change that with TC, but I don't expect yall to do that. I will see if I can't work that out asap.
