Doom 1 or 2/Wolfenstein 3d for WinMo 6.1/5?
 

I just got my HTC Touch Pro a few weeks ago after having to give up AT&T and thus my iPhone and one of the things I tried to think about while selling my beautiful iPhone was I might actually play a few more games since Ill have real buttons. Well, up until now every time I was using my TP was trying to tweak it and get it how I want it, now Im finally there so I went looking for a personal favorite tester of any computer, Doom. I was surprised to see that all the Doom engines that had been ported to WinMo had died off and never been ported to 6 and I personally could not get the old ones to work. I would love to know of a working one and also if an engine for the old Wolfenstein 3D is available. TIA

I know its not doom or anything but have you checked http://www.jamesbeckingham.com.au/PHexen2.aspx its like doom, also theres a diablo port being worked on as well.

Hexen II was a awsome game back in the day, came a while after Doom/doom 2.... I'm going to have to try that...

There is also a Duke Nukem 3d version for WM

I know of Hexen but Im not a fan of it, I will check out Duke Nukem 3D though. Im a little surprised there is no active Doom port for the OS.

LOL the link for the main CAB for the Duke 3D is dead :-(

reistIt is the full and shareware versions of Wolfenstien 3D. It operates correctly on the latest EnergyROM release, but you may need to install the Windows 6.5 Gaming Fix. If you want the full version, you'll have to strip out the WL6 files from your existing install. The shareware, (first episode only), is also available if you don't have the full version. 2.1 seconds in Goole found these, Active new builds, not sure but, it might be worth trying one to see how well they work or dont (post if you try them, wondering, I loved Doom back in the day).

If it's for the PocketPC, 98% of the time it will work in Windows Mobile. I can honestly say, pretty much every thing I have tried (and I got games from 4-5 years ago for PocketPC) works fine even in WM 6.5
