Simple RPG FFX-Type Games for PPC?
 

im super bored with my phone.. solitaire aint cutting it anymore and every other game ive installed i never play no more than a couple times.

i need a nice simple rpg game with play mechanics like the oldschool final fantasy or the like.
any recommendations?

bejeweled has bored me too.. are there any good games that you can compare your scores with an online database?

I really liked Kyle's Quest and Kyle's Quest 2... You buy the engines, and the games are free... (Think Mods) There are a few dozen adventures available, though the quality is not always very good...

Brief History: There was a good following of these games (and a few others) up until the time Crimson Fire took over... There were plans for a Kyle's Quest 3, but nothing has happened in years...

Oh, I bought the Palm Bundle (when I had a Palm) but it included PPC versions too!

you know what, i think there was a kyles quest for the old ti calculators.
i was heavily into ti calculators and games and this rpg looks familiar.. cant wait to try!

Sadly, you can't buy Kyle's Quest off Crimsonfire anymore. I tried to recently and it takes you to a Paypal account which is unable to receive payments.

I only managed to have on file version 1.4.6 for Pocket PC and version 1.6.2 for Palm OS. It's horrible trying out my level add in on my PPC using Styletap since the version 1.6.2 level editor level add ins will not be found by the PPC version 1.4.6 Engine.

You wouldn't by chance know of any safe web sites you can purchase Kyle's Quest 2 version 1.6.2 for PPC? Crimsonfire went useless on us completely....

I Highly recommend Legacy and Quest. They are old school D&D type RPGs. Moddable and have active modding communities.

They are shareware...you can advance to 6th level before having to pay.

The everquest ppc games aren't too bad.
Of course, why not just use an emulator? I've played the entirety of final fantasy tactics advance on my phone. There were a few times where the emulator wouldn't work with a particular scene. I'd just load up an emulator on my desktop and play that part.
I'm looking forward to the day when I can play diablo on my phone.
