Any idea if this is coming soon or just a mistake on their end?

Looks like a typo. Funny we didn't even really carry the pn-820. I think we had it in store for a couple of weeks...

I have the PN-820. Got it from a store, now am told you can only get it online. nemanracing, if you work for VZW, can you see if something is coming? Thanks

As far as the PN-820 goes I have not heard about an update coming. We have the Q9m with WM6 Standard and the upcoming HTC Libra aka UTS 5800 with WM6 Standard. As far as "smartphones" go the 5800 will be the one to look for. WM6 Stand., 64MB RAM, 256MB ROM, microSDHC, EVDO RevA upgradable(who knows may be already RevA by the time we get it...)

any word on the xv5800?

VZW has approved a ROM update for the PN-820. I'll post back here when i have a date and a site for you to get the update from. I do not know nor do i think it will be a WM6 update, but who knows... Keep an eye out!

The XV5800 will be available this month!

Maintinence Release

Choose Verizon as the carrier then click downloads, there is a Maintinence Release there now.

Here is the Upgrade info. from the Doc file contained in the D/L, Sorry its a WM5 Update NOT wm6.

This software update makes available some new features and corrects some issues. Some of the primary enhancements are:
• Upgraded OS to Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU 3.5.2.
• Added the 2007 Daylight Saving Time Patch
• Upgraded Voice Command application to version 1.6.
• Enabled the Bluetooth Voice Command function.
• Improvements to Battery Standby and Talk Time.
• Set the default ring tone as “Verizon Ring”.
• Fixed several Bluetooth issues with Motorola and Jabra headsets.
• Added Power-Up and Power-Down tones.
• Enabled capabilities to set saved pictures as wallpaper on the sub LCD.
• Enabled capability to view music file played using media player on the sub-LCD, when the flip is closed.
