- I've rebooted PC and phone numerous times.

Any tips? Seems like it would be a common issue but most topics I see people flash with no problems
You need to do the smaething when flashing, as you did with the unlocker.

Re: Insturctions and files for installing 6.5

Yea, I tried that too.. but in the unlocker step... it was on the verify step... the part where it reads what image you currently have. In the flasher, it gets past that and dies at the actual writing step. But I've tried it as well... no luck. The Tricolor screen flips between SERIAL and USB for a while.. but same end result.

All I can say is keep trying to plug-in / unplug it. It will take sometime, it can be a PITA.

Re: Insturctions and files for installing 6.5

Maybe I'll try re-unlocking again and start from square A.
Thanks

No need to do that, the Treo Pro is just finicky.

Re: Insturctions and files for installing 6.5

I know you can run the unlocker on sd card... can the same be done for roms? Where would the files go? Do they have to be renamed a certain way?

Re: Insturctions and files for installing 6.5

Ah..ok I got it.

The trick is to ignore the RUU steps. After unlocking it, Instead of sync'ing it, just put it into Tricolor mode with Camera+Power+Reset. Then connect it and run RUU and it works. It seems it doesn't like when RUU forces the Tricolor, but if you start with tricolor it works fine. Then during the verification step, unplug and replug, then continue the RUU process when it finds what image is on your phone. The rest should work fine.

Re: Insturctions and files for installing 6.5

Ok, so I tonight i figured out that you CAN load a rom from your sd card. No more putzing around with stupid RUU. Now I can just rename the nbh file from the rom of choice and pop it into the root of my sd. No files need to be move or anything. Loads up correct the first time.

1. Flash the HardSPL
2. Download the SSPL-Manual-PantherCDMA.zip file
3. Copy the exe to the root of your sd card
4. Download the ROM of choice
5. Rename the ruu_signed.nbh to PANTIMG.nbh (case sensitive))
6. Copy it to the root of your phone's sd card
7. Boot into bootloader mode with the CAMERA+POWER+SOFT RESET

The process should take over from there and tell you how to upgrade.

also, remember that if ur going to flash via sd, only 1 nbh file shud be on the root of the sd card. having more than 1 on the root can cause looping
