Windows Mobile 6.5.1 ROM troubleshooting

I figured I'd get this started because it was mentioned in one of the posts.

Problems I have having so far:

1) The most annoying one. Sometimes, if I hit too many buttons too fast, the device will lock up. Nothing works except for "power" which turns the screen blank and then hitting it against shows the locking screen button but it is impossible to get out of. The only fix is removing the battery and putting it back in.

2) Sometimes when using an application, such as Advanced Configuration Tool, I'll get what looks like a magnifiyer, then it fades away and the entire phone is locked up and I have to remove battery and put back in to reboot.

3) Some menus, dropdowns, dialog boxes and text is way too large. I can't find any way to fix it. Anyone else having this issue?

On the 6.5.1 rom when I would try to use PIMBackup it would freeze after selecting the drop-down box.

Did exactly what OP's #1 did: froze, nothing worked except the power button.

Yeah, what is the magnifying glass? It seems like it could be a cooL feature if I knew how to use it. Also, a mouse cursor appears occasionally; how do I use that?!

Also, just use the soft reset button. It's less effort than taking your battery out.

edit: I haven't seen lockups for any of the reasons that you have listed, though. When I see the magnifying glass tool, it just goes away and everything's still normal. Since there aren't more reports, I'd guess that it has to do with software that you've installed.

it only freezes when i click on a drop down menu. they are also very huge. This is not an example of it crashing, obviously, but is an example of all my menus being HUGE. here is a screen shot...

Ya broski, the "fix" (that's in quotes because nothing is broken, just a personal tastes thing) is to switch to a different TSK.
