make treo pro visible on vista as storage device?

i cant get my treo to sync with mobile device center or show up on my vista laptop as a storage device (sees my storage card as separate).
i ran through the setup through treo thats all i can get to show on my computer screen.
on my other vista computer it shows up just fine, i never synced it or installed any software.
am i missing an option somewhere?

I just got a pc with vista today. I've been trying to sync my treo pro to it and it finds the connection... and then drops it a few mins later.

It won't stay up long enough to sync my pictures even......

I have no idea.....

hmmm... i seem to have gotten it working

I turned off the "advanced fucntionality" under start>settings>connections>usb to pc......

so far so good....

Im using window mobile device center and I dont have a problem. Also my laptop is running vista.

+1 windows mobile device center works perfect with vista.
