i need a new phone is the pro for me?

hey guys i am now moving away from my htc mogul, sprint.

i was curious if the pro is for me.

i have had an older palm treo, 650, before so i am not new to palm.

things ill be using it for.

calls
text messages
aim
yahoo messenger
internet
video online
music mp3
camera
email


what annoys me about my current phone

cant see online video's, youtube
battery dies fast when used with internet.
text messaging program sucks balls.
online email is so bad i dont even want try to make it work.
memory slows down so bad when i have a weeks list of calls in history.
memory also slows down when i use the internet. i have to clear it every time im done with it.
i cant really customize the front screen. i can move things around a little bit but most of it isnt really customizable.
with this phone, im not sure if the problem is because of wm 6.1 im having issues with or is it just he phone. but this phone is making me hate wm all together.


i really would like the phone to work well with me straight from the box. i dont like to have to download new programs or 3rd party software to make any of this work.

so what do you guys think?
is the pro for me?

if you have other suggestions, please state why and what great things about that phone.
i am kinda limited because i want to keep my sero plan and as most of you know sero doesnt work with too many other new phones, such as instinct ver 1 and 2/ palm pre/ blackberry.

as for what u will be using it for, the phone comes with all the support needed to use those features, flawlessly(without installing anything 3rd party or not built in already). i have treo pro also, loves it

the camera is so-so at best.
that's the one thing i -really- miss about my touch pro.
other than that, the treo pro has been a real no-brainer for me all around.

You are in the same boat that I was in, only with Alltel. I had my 6800 for 2 years, and migrated to the Treo Pro when my contract rolled over.

The keyboard is smaller on the Treo Pro, but I find that I can type on it faster then I ever could on the 6800 (neither very fast). The smaller screen doesn't bother me any either. And I find the Treo easier for one handed use. I also 2nd the SkyFire use.

all i can say is you will not be disappointed...like skee said everything in your must have list is in this device {palm treo pro}...

IE6 has built in flash support so straight the box you can goto hulu.com,youtube.com...etc

1.supreme video streaming install SKYFIRE
2.super web surfing install OPERA MINI
3.battery life is outstanding for PPC

last but not least the OS on this device is very fast and snappy compare to i hate to say the htc touch pro...for whatever that is worth...by the way that alot..!O!

i read somewhere that there is an upgrade on wm. its version 6.5 i think. does anyone have this version?

the newer version has flash on it. any opinion on that?

to be honest, you're coming from the Mogul....

Mogul...

so no matter what it'll b a big improvement. Think of it that way. Imagine doing wat u could do with your mogul, but with much more RAM and newer OS. (unless u flashed a rom) Also, TP is MUCH more attractive and looks more like a serious phone, without that sliding kb.

just my .02...go for the pro.

i thought that the pro used the same wm OS? ver.6.1

i like the Pro, the only thing that throws me off is the touch screen, if im looking at an angle and try to press something on the screen, i usually get whats underneath what i was actually pressing. Personally id go with Touch Pro instead of Treo Pro.
