I just got this email as well, but I don't see a release date....did I miss it, or didn't they list one? I also have to wonder if the rumors of a CDMA version will come to fruition!!

Anyone heard anything more about this bad boy? I emailed Sprint about 2 weeks ago and they didn't know anything about it coming to their stable.

There are very rare and subtle rumors going around about a CDMA version being developed for VZW instead of them getting the 800w (another half-year to wait maybe???), but nothing definite or official regarding a CDMA version of the Pro!!

Not until the new year was the last update we got...
BTW Dell is selling them for $475 w free standard shipping (I got mine in less than 3 days)
Debating whether or not to jump providors or flash to different one....
It comes plain jane from dell with just usb sync/charger cabe and plug adapters, headphones and thats it...
Still looks sharp going to fire it up tonight and see whats what

honestly, i think treos are old fashioned, wouldnt be surprised if it goes bankrupt with all of the new touch phones (i.e. HTC)
treo needs something new to really bounce back

I am thinking I will give VZW until Sprint picks-up the Pro and if they haven't at least started selling the 800w, I am finding a way to switch. I will deal with coverage and CS issues. I think VZW is really taking a beating in the WM market!!!!

P.S. I am NOT feeding into the Storm hype the VZW reps are trying to substitute for WM devices either!!!

Sprint coverage is generally better than Verizon's from my travels. Verizon roams so often while Sprint is nearly 100% their own network. CS has been better recently, but that's relative.
