Official Treo Pro Date Stamp Update

"When the year changed to 2010, this affected the Messaging application's ability to correctly display date stamps on SMS and MMS messages. Messages from 2010 display a date stamp of 2016.

The Treo Pro Date Stamp Update fixes the date stamp issue. With this update, SMS messages events now appear with the correct date stamp. It will also correct the date of any SMS messages you have already sent or received that display the wrong year."

will this be ok to apply if you already have the ziggy patch installed?

uninstall the ziggy patch first. Some are reporting that the phone needs to be in airplane mode when install this fix. I and others have done it without airplane mode and it worked just fine

I uninstalled the ziggy patch and rebooted. I wasn't in airplane mode, it works just fine for me. It fixed old txts

I tried these official fixes on my Sasktel Treo Pro, but I get an error saying that it is only for Sprint or altel phones. I extracted the cab and ran the exe "CorrectSMSDate" which fixes texts received prior to the fix, but it does not fix the problem for all new texts. Does anyone know what else the cab does? Are there some registry or dll updates that I need to do also?

Is there any program to put an indicator of new SMS? The Treo seems to be the only phone that doesn't have a notification for new SMS or emails; no blinking lights or message on the screen.

If I remember correctly my Palm Centro had an envelope pop up when I got a new SMS

when i get a new sms, an envelope pops up at the top of the screen towards the center.
if u install treo alerts, u can assign a blinking color and pattern for new sms(dont know how well it works with winmo 6.5, but worth the try maybe)

heey Ziggy, i must say u r d god, I think only u can help me out, my HTC Touch Pro 2 (sprint) starting from January 2010 to receive the SMS 2016, and now through the CorrectSMSDate patch by you, the previous 2016 text messages are changed to 2010, i was bit late to apply this patch, so now the time of receipt into the SMS 2017,i have backed up my sms with pim bckup & applied official rom update from htc...can you kindly mail me the updated version for the correctSMSDate.Exe for my all 300Sms dated with 2017...thanQ in Advance
