Treo Pro takes 10-20 minutes to restart

Hi, I just got a used treo pro today and pulled the battery out to check ESN. Upon replacing the battery, the Treo Pro showed the loading screen with a black background and colorful bubbles. There is a status bar at the bottom. It is stuck on this screen for 10-20 minutes before loading windows. This happens every single time, even after hard reset. Is this normal for Treo Pros?

Also, after I flashed to BigE 6.5 rom, it still does it. It does not automatically restart after flashing; I usually have to pull battery out after it hits 100% on flashing.

can someone shed some light? thanks.

Re: Treo Pro takes 10-20 minutes to restart

If you have a memory card in it, try taking it out and restarting it.

If its the GSM one, take out the SIM card too.

I've had this issue with a different phone and it was related to my memory card. As soon as I took it out it booted fine. I had to format it to make it work correctly I think.

I haven't put in a microSD card at all so I don't think that's the issue.

Absolutely not normal. Mine starts up in less than a minute.

Re: Treo Pro takes 10-20 minutes to restart

I bought it from somebody on craigslist. I never bothered to restart the phone when I was looking it over and made a random call just to hear the operator. Never checked the mic. I was stupid. Luckily it hasn't been out for a year yet and Sprint gave me a refurbed in the store. All is well, except I lost about 4 hours of my time.
