Well now that I know an easy way to load roms I will certainly try others. I'll do bigE's next. Usually, the larger the rom, the more I stay away. Seems the more crap, the slower it runs, and Treo Pro doesn't handle 6.5 well IMO... even 6.1 wasn't great.. but its better than any winmo phone I've had to date. But I will try BigE's just to see what its about

No luck with internet on matbees. Tried the remove and re-add. Tried soft reset. Even tried another hard reset.

Gonna try BigE now

ya i had to do some reg edits to force the phone to dial powervision i kept getting that bs with it trying to dial phone as modem

well let me know what one you try and how its works for ya

im running 21884.1.1, right now, which is probably the "popular" vote
23511.1.2 is cool IMO...
also, the treopro seems to run 6.5 fine for me....on the average, how much available program memory do u have??? that might b slowing the phone down

Well the matbee i originally had didn't have the "hold close to end program" so things were constantly slowing down.

I got BigE's rom installed. I like it a lot.. but I think the problem with my internet is that I need to go through the activation steps again. I swapped back to my old sanyo9000 and the web didn't work there. But then I did the activation ##MSL# stuff and then the internet started working.

I swapped back to my Treo and tried the automatic update, but the "Update profile" option in settings->System is not in the BigE rom. I tried manually doing the ##MSL# as well but the phone didn't trigger activation mode.

So I might need to go back to a rom that has that stuff first so I can reactivate, then go back to BigE

You say it like its a good thing! This is why I'm not fond of it. Anything more than 50% makes me cringe. Try running Skyfire and listen to WMP and if someone texts you.. its over. Phone crawls at 86% and I find myself taking the battery out just so I don't have to wait for crap to close.

do this. go to your file explorer and nav to windows/startup. delete things in there you dont want to have start when to phone boots. that saved me alot of space. when i soft reset i run at 53-55% but these roms do have some mem leaks which will cause your ram usage to climb through out the day even if you close out programs.
