back door cover

i hate the glossy slippery back the treo pro comes with, does anybody sell a new cover with some kind of anti slip coating or like my old treo 755 felt. im looking for a stock battery back door...... i know i can get it with the extended battery from Seidio but i dont want to spend a fortune on a battery just to get the soft touch back, although it would be nice having extra battery. anyways how can i get a new back with soft touch

Re: back door cover

I have the seidio Innocase II on my treo pro. It has a great grip on the outside, and the inside has a soft backing not to hurt the phone. Also it is only about 1mm thick so it doesn't add much to the phone itself.

thanks i never thought about a case like that i was just thinking about a new battery cover. but this would take care of my problem. has anybody else used something similar? would the innocase II work with the desktop charger?

I don't know about the use with a desk charger. But I would assume that it might since it is so thin.

Re: back door cover

I took some clear RTV (self leveling) and thinned it a little bit with meineral spirits and coated the back cover with it. I put tape over the camera lens and speaker port before doing it and of course removed the cover from the phone.

It worked great! The phone is very easy to hold now and still fits in the palm charging cradle. I did it about 6 months ago and it is still holding up well.
