Treo 800w - lag time to answer a call

All;

I have a problem with the 800W since I got it (e.g. before any tweaks or programs added). I push the green button on an incoming call or the "answer" soft button, and it answers immediately if I'm on the Today screen, but if I am anywhere else, there is a 10 - to 20 second lag. And I miss a lot of calls before the darned thing acknowledges the keypress and answers the call.

Any fixes or hints?

Thanks!

That's some serious lag time. I would try a hard reset and see how that works. If not you may have a defective unit.
