i just bought a treo 800w, need advice !

my treo 800w should be here in a few days. i want to know if there are any custom roms, htc home for vga or much needed apps for this device ? i look forward to being able to customize it the best i can.

Welcome to the 800w forum. No custom roms that I know of but maybe some one else know of any. Follow the links skee posted. There is a wealth of information on here. My advice to you is backup, backup, backup. Have fun.

what is a good free backup program ? i know about spb screen shot and memaid.

The 800W comes with the free "Sprite" backup application. SPB Backup, a paid application, works well backing the device up. I had problems with Resco Backup.

good to know, thanks. does the treo 800w come with IE, wmp and mobile office ? also do i have to download flash and java for the phone ?

skyfire(a web browser) has flash for web browsing and the only time i needed java was for opera mini(another browser) some games might require java though.

i just downloaded skyfire & java. my question is is there a cab for abobe flash for the treo ?

i havent seen in the 800w, but i have seen adobe programs on the touch pro.
