Trouble Tethering

Hi everyone. I have been having some trouble tethering. I had to do a hard reset and reset all my settings. When I connect, my connection speed is VERY VERY slow. I went to speedtest.net and checked it. My download speed is 183 kps and my upload speed is 184 kps. It used to be MUCH faster, like around 600 kps. Is there something I missed? Thanks!

Does your icon look like the one circled in green below? Or does it say 1X ?

Yes it has the "EV" icon

Whats your signal strength like? The only reason I could think of why its so slow is because of a poor signal. Do you have other apps running in the background that may be using up bandwidth.
