Power Off Button

OK, I know this might be a minor annoyance to some, but it drives me nuts. After my company switched me from Verizon's Treo 700w to Cingular's 750, I find that the power off button takes several pushes to actually power down the phone. It seems to go through all the apps that are open 1st (as if it is the 'OK' button). That is really odd to me. If I want to turn the dang thing off, I want it to go off on the 1st try. Does anyone know of a hack that makes it work like other Treo's? Other than that, words can not describe how much better this phone is than that memory challenged abomination called the Treo 700w.

Thanks,

powder

I came here just now to make this same thread. I liked being able to immediately power down the phone from inside whatever app... it's useful when I'm at my desk because when powered down with pocket outlook open, it doesn't vibrate to alert me to new emails, which I like since I have them on the desktop.

Anyone?
