No it doesnt give me a text reminder like my sprintpcs mail account I had on there. So I guess I wont be getting charged...When I had my sprintpcs account on there, everytime I got new mail it would send me a text to check my mail which was stupid. Sprints way to scam you!

If you have your Sprint PCS e-mail account set up as a POP3 acount through Pocket Outlook it should not interfere with text messages at all. It will use data time, so if you don't have a Vision plan you will be charged by the KB.

How do you have it set up???

On a normal cell phone the yahoo app uses a "magic sms" to tell the app to start and download a new message. On the wx it uses the data connection - no sms is used by default if you have a data connection. There is an option in the program that lets you say if you want to use sms if there is no other way - it normally selected but I turned it off. I had it for about 12 hours with it syncing ever two minutes of so; so I was really worried about a huge charge from sprint (I had no sms plan at the time) but nothing came. So all is well I guess.

I got my bill and the text message Yahoo Go sent as part of the setup was classsified as an international text so it didn't fall under my free text plan. Does that make sense?

I noticed that "International Text" on my bill as well. I was wondering where that came from. Why is it sending international SMS messages or is Sprint just billing them incorrectly.

During the set up of the Yahoo Go application, ONE international SMS message is sent from the phone.
After that, using Yahoo Go does not use any SMS.
