Phone continues to ring after answer

This is strange. Regularly my phone continues to ring for several rings after the answer button is pushed. It rings so long that the calling party hears the ring.

I am thinking that there may be an installed 3rd party application like that may be interfering but am unsure.

Anyone else have this issue?

My phone does something similar....I hear the ringer through the speaker after picking up, callers usually do not hear it.

i used to have this issue. i would hit answer, and it would ring and ring. i changed my ringtone and that helped, the ringtone i had was huge, and that may have interfered with it.

try a smaller ringtone, or try compressing the one you have. seems as though the phone gets ready to play the whole thing and does'nt know when to stop once the phone is answered.

do you guys have voice command running? I had VC and was having the same issue and then turned it off and now its perfect. It was annoying to hear the phone ring in my ear after hitting the answer button. I think voice command delays the phones responsiveness.
