Treo 700wx software change to verizon
 

I'm a newbe so bare with me. I have been searching for 2 weeks trying to convert this 700wx from sprint to verizon. I have accomplished a cdmafirmware update and got the phone on a verizon prl I think cause I do a *228 and get verizon recording. When I did that it set the lock code to 333333 and put cricket info on my phone. When I tried to do the verison 1.22 update it says unsupported device. I can't connect qpst or bitpim to connect thru a hot sync cable I got from ebay which is the one I connect with activesync. Where do I go from here?](*,)

Not real clear on this, but if you're trying to convert from Sprint to VZW, then why would you put Cricket info on your phone? The Palm 1.22 updater probably isn't working because it thinks your device is operating on Cricket. 1.22 and 1.24 updaters will only work for VZW. As far as your sync issue goes, you need to make sure you're using a cable for the 700W/WX and not the HotSync cable for the 700P, which is Palm OS based, not WM. Also, ActiveSync only works if your PC is XP based. If you're running Vista, then you have to use Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC).

the nvbackup file I got had cricket. where can i get one with vzw. I didn't have trouble with activesyn it was bitpim and qpst that had issues.

Best thing to do is sell and buy a verizon treo. I did.
